BlackBook art gallery partnered with Sotheby’s for A Woman’s Right to Pleasure, an art exhibition and book about the female experience — autonomy, agency, empowerment, love, and sexuality. The exhibit featured 100 international women artists across all mediums and looked at how women see their own experience, focusing on artists and works from the modern and contemporary eras.

The book, A Woman’s Right to Pleasure, is a bestselling art book with forewords by Erica Jong (author of bestseller Fear of Flying, recipient of the United Nations Award For Excellence In Literature) and Roxane Gay (author of New York Times best-seller Bad Feminist). Excerpts by Judy Chicago (pioneering feminist artist and Time magazine’s “100 Most Influential People of 2018”) and Kathy Acker. Original submissions by Vaginal Davis, Alice Little, Erika Lust, Naana Otoo-Oyortey, MBE, Nadya Tolokonnikova of Pussy Riot, Natasha Stagg, and Stoya.
